There is indeed no limit to the creativity of an artist. They draw inspiration from a lot of things -both the common and the absurd. And perhaps one of the strangest yet amazing furniture creations I have seen recently are those inspired by nothing else but the very dynamic human body.
Have you ever seen real "furniture legs" or would you feel comfortable "sitting on someone else"? Indulge on these interesting images I have pooled from the net and you be the judge. Enjoy!
1.BOULOUM Oliver Mourque in 1969)
This lounge chair is contoured to mirror the form of the human body and is a permanent collection at the New York Museum of Modern Art. It creates a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for contemplation or long conversations.
2. BOCCA SOFA
Lips are not just kissable, they are also "sit-table"?
Lip-shaped chair that has come to be known as the Bocca couch was created at the beginning of 70's by Studio 65 for Gufram as a tribute to Salvador Dali, a Spanish surrealist painter. It was based on the lips of Marilyn Monroe.
This version below is known as the Dark Lady with removable silver piercing.

6. FURNITURE LEGS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
I am still a bit disturbed about how these legs seem to be kneeling just so you can sit or put something on the table.
7. LEGGY BLONDE (by Rupert Cavendish)
How it captures the sexy female legs. Who said furniture legs cannot be sexy?
